Verbinski dropper måske "BioShock"

Udlandet passer ikke instruktøren.

Gore Verbinski har allerede droppet "Pirates of the Caribbean" til fordel for filmatiseringen af det populære videospil "BioShock", men nu kan instruktøren måske ende med slet ikke at have arbejde.

Projektet er allerede forsinket på grund af finansielle problemer grundet et enormt budget, der skulle løses ved at rykke produktionen væk fra USA.

Det falder dog ikke i god jord hos Verbinski, der muligvis dropper filmen, hvis produktionen ikke finder sted i USA.

"The bottom line is it has to shoot out of the States for budget reasons and my schedule may be prohibitive," forklarer instruktøren. "There's a great script and a really interesting cast. It really comes down to the financial model now. Big movies are just not being shot in the States. I'm weighing whether I can physically go the UK or Australia or one of those other places with a tax rebate for a year-and-a-half."
