"The Hobbit" - en film i to dele

Følelsen af en film på trods af opdeling.

MTV News har snakket med instruktør Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth), som afslørede, at "The Hobbit" er én lang film på trods af, at den bliver delt op i to dele.

"The reality is that we stopped talking about the first movie and the second movie, and we just started talking about the movie - the two episodes, or two parts, as if they were a single piece of narrative," fortæller han om manuskriptarbejdet med Fran Walsh og Philippa Boyens.

Ideen er, at "The Hobbit" skal føles som én film og dermed få den til at passe perfekt ind til de andre film i "Lord of the Rings"-franchisen.

"We all agree that if we do our job right, it should all feel like a continuous journey. That's what we're striving for," siger Del Toro. "You should see a movie that's five pictures long. If we do our job right, you put in 'The Hobbit' and you wind up watching the entire Pentology!"
