Shia LaBeouf er ikke den nye Indy

Harrison Ford benægter rygter.

Harrison Ford har afsløret, at Indiana Jones' makker og søn Mutt Williams, der bliver spillet af Shia LaBoeuf, ikke bliver den nye Indy i franchisens fremtidige film.

Ford fortæller: "No, that's never been [the idea]. As George [Lucas] has famously said, we'd have to call it 'Mutt Jones: The Search for Elvis.' I think it just doesn't work that way. And there's definitely a distinction between passing the fedora and someone picking it up."

Ford henviser til en scene i "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", hvor Mutt næsten når at samle Indys velkendte hat op, men bliver stoppet i sidste sekund. Mange fans tog det som en hentydning til, at Ford ville lade franchisen fortsætte med LaBeouf som den store stjerne, men det kommer altså ikke til at ske.

"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" udkommer på DVD og Blu-ray den 4. november.
